The American Heart Association (AHA) is the respective authority in resuscitation science, research, training and publisher of the official AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC. Their training provides the highest level of quality in materials, courses, and programs related to CPR and Basic Life Support for professionals, first responders, employees and the general public.
Who should take this course?
The BLS course is designed to train participants to identify several life-threatening emergencies, administer high-quality chest compressions, and deliver appropriate ventilations and provide the use of an AED when needed.
The BLS course is for healthcare professionals and community personnel who need the knowledge on how to perform CPR/BLS in a variety of settings.

High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
Important early use of an AED
Effective ventilations using a barrier device
Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR

Additional Information:
Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two (2) years.
Depending on which BLS course option you choose, Continuing Education (CE)/Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits may be available for your profession.
